Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the cytoplasmic domain of human KCNJ5 (GIRK4, Kir3.4, KATP-1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide shares 91 % identity with rat and mouse sequences.
Specificity Specific for KCNJ5.
Purity whole serum
Alternative Name Synaptotagmin 12 (SYT12, Synaptotagmin XII)
Background Function: May be involved in Ca(2+)-dependent exocytosis of secretory vesicles through Ca(2+) and phospholipid binding to the C2 domain or may serve as Ca(2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle, synaptic vesicle membrane, Single-pass membrane protein. Also known as: Synaptotagmin-12, SYT12, SYT-12, Synaptotagmin XII, SytXII.
UniProt P48545
Research Area Cardiovascular, Metabolism
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20 °C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8 °C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability.
Expiry Date 12 months
