|Immunogen||A synthetic peptide from the internal part of human Syntaxin-binding protein 1 (STXB1, p67, N-Sec1, Unc-18A, Unc-18-1, rbSec1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The immunogen is homologous with the corresponding sequence in rat, mouse, chicken and monkey.|
|Description||FUNCTION: May participate in the regulation of synaptic vesicle docking and fusion, possibly through interaction with GTP-binding proteins. Essential for neurotransmission and binds syntaxin, a component of the synaptic vesicle fusion machinery probably in a 1:1 ratio. Can interact with syntaxins 1, 2, and 3 but not syntaxin 4. May play a role in determining the specificity of intracellular fusion reactions. Also known as: STXB1, p67, N-Sec1, Unc-18A, Unc-18-1, rbSec1.|
|Specificity||Appears to be specific for Syntaxin-binding protein 1.|
|Application Notes||IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.|
|Storage||Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.|
