| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the 4th cytoplasmic domain of mouse taste receptor, type 1, member 1 (Tas1r1, Gpr70, T1r1, TS1R1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and shares 92% identity with human's. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Putative taste receptor. TAS1R1/TAS1R3 responds to the umami taste stimulus (the taste of monosodium glutamate) and also to most of the 20 standard L-amino acids, but not to their D-enantiomers or other compounds. Sequence differences within and between species can significantly influence the selectivity and specificity of taste responses. SUBUNIT: Forms heterodimers with TAS1R3. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed strongly only in fungiform papillae. Also known as: Taste receptor type 1 member 1, Tas1r1, Gpr70, T1r1, Tr1, TS1R1. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for TAS1R1. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
