Additional Information
| Alternative name | taste receptor, type 1, member 3 (TAS1R3, T1R3, TR3, TS1R3) |
| Swiss-Prot | Q7RTX0 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide form human taste receptor, type 1, member 3 (TAS1R3, T1R3, TR3) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | The TAS1R3 gene encodes the human homolog of mouse Sac, a major determinant of differences between sweet-sensitive and -insensitive mouse strains in their responsiveness to sucrose, saccharine, and other sweeteners. FUNCTION: Putative taste receptor. TAS1R1/TAS1R3 responds to the umami taste stimulus (the taste of monosodium glutamate). TAS1R2/TAS1R3 recognizes diverse natural and synthetic sweeteners. TAS1R3 is essential for the recognition and response to the disaccharide trehalose. Sequence differences within and between species can significantly influence the selectivity and specificity of taste responses. SUBUNIT: Forms homodimers or heterodimers with TAS1R1 and TAS1R2. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.<||a href="http://www.enzim.hu/hmmtop1.1/server/submit.html" ><||/a> Also known as: Taste receptor type 1 member 3, sweet taste receptor T1R3, TAS1R3, T1R3, TR3, TS1R3. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for TAS1R3. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
