Immunogen A synthetic peptide from a cytoplasmic domain of rat taste receptor, type 2, member 16 (TAS2R16, T2R16) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Specificity Specific for MOR174-9.
Purification whole serum
Alternative Name taste receptor, type 2, member 16 (TAS2R16, T2R16)
Background Function: Gustducin-coupled receptor implicated in the perception of bitter compounds in the oral cavity and the gastrointestinal tract. Signals through PLCB2 and the calcium-regulated cation channel TRPM5.
Tissue specificity: Expressed in subsets of taste receptor cells of the tongue and palate epithelium and exclusively in gustducin-positive cells. Expressed in the antrum and fundus (part of the stomach), duodenum and in gastric endocrine cells.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: T2R16, T2R18, T2R3, Tas2r18, Tas2r3, Tas2r16, T2R16.
UniProt Q920P2
Research Area Neurology
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
