Description
FUNCTION: Gustducin-coupled receptor implicated in the perception of bitter compounds in the oral cavity and the gastrointestinal tract. Signals through PLCB2 and the calcium-regulated cation channel TRPM5 SUBUNIT: Forms heterodimers with TAS1R3. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in tongue, stomach and duodenum. Also known as: Tas2r4, Taste receptor type 2 member 4, TA2R4, Taste receptor type 2 member 20, T2R20.
Specificity
Appears to be specific for TAS2R4.
Application Notes
IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
