Immunogen A synthetic peptide from 3d extracellular domain of rat taste receptor, type 2, member 7 (Tas2r7, T2R7) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in mouse.
Specificity Specific for TAS2R7.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name TAS2R7
Background Function: Gustducin-coupled receptor for denatonium and N(6)-propyl-2-thiouracil implicated in the perception of bitter compounds in the oral cavity and the gastrointestinal tract. Signals through PLCB2 and the calcium-regulated cation channel TRPM5.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Expressed in subsets of taste receptor cells of the tongue and palate epithelium and exclusively in gustducin-positive cells. Expressed in 15% taste bud cells in circumvallate and foliate papillae but only in 2% in fungiform papillae. Expressed in gastric and duodenal tissues. Also known as: Taste receptor type 2 member 7, T2R7, T2R6, T2R30, STC7-4, mT2R42, Tas2r130, Tas2r6, Tas2r7.
Research Area Neurology
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date 12 months
