Additional Information
| Alternative name | transmembrane channel-like protein 6 (TMC6, EVER1, Protein LAK-4, EVIN1) (1t lumenal part) |
| Swiss-Prot | Q7Z403 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the 1t lumenal part of human transmembrane channel-like protein 6 (TMC6, EVER1, Protein LAK-4, EVIN1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in placenta, prostate, testis, activated T-lymphocytes and lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) lymphocytes. DISEASE: Defects in TMC6 are a cause of epidermodysplasia verruciformis. It is a rare autosomal recessive genodermatosis associated with a high risk of skin carcinoma that results from an abnormal susceptibility to infection by specific human papillomaviruses. Infection leads to persistent wart-like or macular lesions. Also known as: TMC6, EVER1, Epidermodysplasia verruciformis protein 1, Protein LAK-4, EVIN1. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for TMC6. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 4000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
