Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the 2d cytoplasmic loop of human transmembrane channel-like protein 6 (TMC6, EVER1, Protein LAK-4, EVIN1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Specificity Appears to be specific for TMC6.
Purity whole serum
Alternative Name transmembrane channel-like protein 6 (TMC6, EVER1, Protein LAK-4, EVIN1)
Background SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Expressed in placenta, prostate, testis, activated T-lymphocytes and lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) lymphocytes. DISEASE: Defects in TMC6 are a cause of epidermodysplasia verruciformis. It is a rare autosomal recessive genodermatosis associated with a high risk of skin carcinoma that results from an abnormal susceptibility to infection by specific human papillomaviruses. Infection leads to persistent wart-like or macular lesions. Also known as: TMC6, EVER1, Epidermodysplasia verruciformis protein 1, Protein LAK-4, EVIN1.
UniProt Q7Z403
Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Storage -20 °C
