Additional Information

UniProt Q03351
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the extracellular domain of rat TrkC (Trk-C, NTRK3, NT-3 growth factor receptor, GP145-TrkC) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Receptor for neurotrophin-3 (NT-3). This is a tyrosine-protein kinase receptor. Known substrates for the trk receptors are SHC1, PI-3 kinase, and PLCG1. The different isoforms do not have identical signaling properties. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: ATP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine = ADP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine phosphate. SUBUNIT: Exists in a dynamic equilibrium between monomeric (low affinity) and dimeric (high affinity) structures. Binds SH2B2. Interacts with SQSTM1 and ARMS. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Widely expressed, mainly in the nervous tissue. The isoform B is expressed in a relatively large amount in the adult brain comparatively to fetal brain. Also known as: Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 3, TrkC tyrosine kinase, GP145-TrkC, Trk-C, NT-3 growth factor receptor, NTRK3.
Specificity Appears to be specific for TrkC.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB (confirmed by recombinant protein). A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
