Description
FUNCTION: May function as an ion-channel regulator. May function with PKD2L1 as heteromeric taste channels. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in a subset of taste receptor cells distinct from those involved in bitter, sweet and umami taste. Expressed in circumvallate and foliate taste buds, but not in surrounding non-gustatory lingual epithelium cells. Expressed in testis. Also known as: Trpc1, Transient receptor potential protein.
Specificity
Appears to be specific for TRP-1.
Application Notes
IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
