Additional Information

Alternative name xenopusTRP-1 (Trpc1, Transient receptor potential protein) (c-terminal region)
Swiss-Prot Q9PRI8
Immunogen A synthetic peptide as a part of xenopus TRP-1 (Trpc1, Transient receptor potential protein) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: May function as an ion-channel regulator. May function with PKD2L1 as heteromeric taste channels. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in a subset of taste receptor cells distinct from those involved in bitter, sweet and umami taste. Expressed in circumvallate and foliate taste buds, but not in surrounding non-gustatory lingual epithelium cells. Expressed in testis. Also known as: Trpc1, Transient receptor potential protein.
Specificity Appears to be specific for TRP-1.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
