|Immunogen||A synthetic peptide from the 1t cytoplasmic loop of rat TRPC6 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous with the corresponding sequence in mouse.|
|Description||FUNCTION: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. Seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. |Specificity||Appears to be specific for TRPC6.|
|Application Notes||IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.|
|Storage||Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.|
