Additional Information

UniProt Q61143
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the 4th cytoplasmic loop of mouse TRPC6 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen shares 94% identity with TRPC3 and TRPC7 sequences.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. Seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. Tissue specificity: Lung and brain. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: Short transient receptor potential channel 6, TrpC6, Calcium entry channel, Trp6, transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 6, Trrp6, mtrp6.
Specificity Appears to recognise the TRPC6, TRPC3 and TRPC7.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
