Additional Information
| Alternative name | TRPC6, 3, 7 (4th cytoplasmic loop) |
| Swiss-Prot | Q61143 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the 4th cytoplasmic loop of mouse TRPC6 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen shares 94% identity with TRPC3 and TRPC7 sequences. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. Seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. Tissue specificity: Lung and brain. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: Short transient receptor potential channel 6, TrpC6, Calcium entry channel, Trp6, transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 6, Trrp6, mtrp6. |
| Specificity | Appears to recognise the TRPC6, TRPC3 and TRPC7. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
