Immunogen A synthetic peptide from 4th cytoplasmic domain of human TRPC6, 3, 7 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Specificity Specific for Bestrophin 3.
Purification whole serum
Background Function: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. Seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein (Probable). Also known as: Short transient receptor potential channel 6, TRP6, transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 6, TRP6, FSGS2, FLJ11098, FLJ14863.
UniProt Q6H1V1
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
