|Immunogen||A synthetic peptide from 4th cytoplasmic domain of human TRPC6, 3, 7 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.|
|Description||FUNCTION: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG) in a membrane-delimited fashion, independently of protein kinase C. Seems not to be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein (Probable). Also known as: Short transient receptor potential channel 6, TRP6, transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily C, member 6, TRP6, FSGS2, FLJ11098, FLJ14863.|
|Specificity||Appears to recognise TRPC6, TRPC3 and TRPC7.|
|Application Notes||IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.|
|Storage||Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.|
