Additional Information

Alternative name TRPC7 (TRP7) (1t cytoplasmic loopl)
Swiss-Prot Q9HCX4
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from 1t cytoplasmic loop of human TRPC7 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in mouse.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG). May also be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Also known as: Short transient receptor potential channel 7, TrpC7, mTRP7, Trp7, Trrp8, Trpc7, TrpC7, TRP7 protein, TRP7.
Specificity Appears to be specific for TRPC7.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB (confirmed by recombinant protein). A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
