Immunogen A synthetic peptide from 4th cytoplasmic loop of drosophila TRPG (Transient receptor potential-gamma protein, TRPgamma) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Specificity Specific for GIT2.
Purification whole serum
Background Function: A light-sensitive calcium channel that is required for inositide-mediated Ca(2+) entry in the retina during phospholipase C (PLC)-mediated phototransduction. Forms a regulated cation channel when heteromultimerized with trpl.
Subunit: Interacts preferentially with trpl and interacts to a lower extent with trp.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Expressed predominantly in the rhabdomeres of photoreceptor cells. Also known as: TRPG, Transient receptor potential-gamma protein, TRPgamma.
