Immunogen A synthetic peptide from aa region 700-750 of rat TRPV2 (VRL-1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.
Specificity Specific for TRPV2.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name TRPV2
Background Function: Calcium-permeable, non-selective cation channel with an outward rectification. Seems to be regulated, at least in part, by growth factors, like IGF1, PDGF and morphogenetic neuropeptide/head activator. May transduce physical stimuli in mast cells. Activated by temperatures higher than 52 degrees Celsius, is not activated by vanilloids and acidic pH.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein. Cytoplasm. Melanosome.
Tissue specificity: Ubiquitously expressed. Expressed in dorsal root ganglia, trigeminal ganglia, spinal chord (Lissauer's tract, dorsal horn and dorsal columns) (at protein level). Also known as: Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 2, TrpV2, osm-9-like TRP channel 2, OTRPC2, Vanilloid receptor-like protein 1, VRL-1, Stretch-activated channel 2B, Sac2b, Vrl1, MGC105451.
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
