Additional Information

Alternative name TRPV3 (1t cytoplasmic domain)
Swiss-Prot Q8K424
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from mouse TRPV3 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Description FUNCTION: Putative receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. It is activated by innocuous (warm) temperatures and shows an increased response at noxious temperatures greater than 39 degrees Celsius. Activation exhibits an outward rectification. May associate with TRPV1 and may modulate its activity. SUBUNIT: May form a heteromeric channel with TRPV1. Interacts with TRPV1. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in keratinocytes and hair follicles. Also known as: Trpv3 transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily V, member 3, Nh, VRL3, AI644701, MGC124324, MGC124325, 1110036I10Rik.
Specificity Appears to be specific for TRPV3.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity whole serum
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
