Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of mouse VPS25 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat, zebra fish, xenopus and human.
Specificity Specific for VPS25.
Purification Whole serum
Alternative Name VPS25 (VPS25 Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: Component of the ESCRT-II complex, which is required for multivesicular bodies (MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs. The MVB pathway mediates delivery oftransmembrane proteins into the lumen of the lysosome for degradation. The ESCRT-II complex is probably involved in the recruitment of the ESCRT-III complex. The ESCRT-II complex may also play a role in transcription regulation, possibly via its interaction with ELL.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Note: Distributes diffusely throughout the cytoplasm and nucleoplasm, but exhibits a punctate distribution on coexpression with CHMP6. Also known as: VPS25.
Research Area Signaling
Pathways
Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date 12 months
