Additional Information
| Alternative name | Vacuolar sorting protein SNF8 (internal region) |
| Swiss-Prot | Q96H20 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human Vacuolar-sorting protein SNF8 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat, mouse and xenopus. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Component of the ESCRT-II complex, which is required for multivesicular bodies (MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs. The MVB pathway mediates delivery oftransmembrane proteins into the lumen of the lysosome for degradation. The ESCRT-II complex is probably involved in the recruitment of the ESCRT-III complex. The ESCRT-II complex may also play a role in transcription regulation by participating in derepression of transcription by RNA polymerase II, possibly via its interaction with ELL. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Also known as: EAP30, SNF8, ELL-associated protein of 30 kDa, ESCRT-II complex subunit VPS22. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for SNF8. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
