Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human SNF8 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat, mouse and xenopus.

Background Function: Component of the ESCRT-II complex, which is required for multivesicular bodies (MVBs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into MVBs. The MVB pathway mediates delivery oftransmembrane proteins into the lumen of the lysosome for degradation. The ESCRT-II complex is probably involved in the recruitment of the ESCRT-III complex. The ESCRT-II complex may also play a role in transcription regulation by participating in derepression of transcription by RNA polymerase II, possibly via its interaction with ELL.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Also known as: EAP30, ELL-associated protein of 30 kDa, ESCRT-II complex subunit VPS22.

Application Notes A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended.
The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
