Additional Information
| Alternative name | vomeronasal 1 receptor, A2 (VN1A2, V1A11) |
| Swiss-Prot | Q8VIC7 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide as a part of mouse vomeronasal 1 receptor, A2 (VN1A2, V1A11) conjugated to immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Description | FUNCTION: Putative pheromone receptor implicated in the regulation of social and reproductive behavior. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein (Potential). TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in a subset of sensory neurons located in the apical layer of thevomeronasal organ. MISCELLANEOUS: Mice lacking all but one V1RA and V1RB gene (12% of the V1R repertoire) show a lack of chemosensory response to a subset of known pheromonal ligands and changes in maternal aggression as well as male reproductive behavior. | Specificity | Appears to be specific for VN1A2. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 3000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. |
| Purity | whole serum |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
