Description
|
Putative pheromone receptor; may play a role inolfactory sensory perception. FUNCTION: Putative pheromone receptor implicated in the regulation of social as well as reproductive behavior. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Expressed in 1-4% of neurons of thevomeronasal organ. Only one pheromone receptor gene may be expressed in a particular neuron. Not expressed in the mainolfactory epithelium.
