Immunogen This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding T161 of human CDC2.
Specificity This antibody detects CDC2 pThr161.
Purification Protein G Affinity Chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylated peptides. The phospho-specific antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Alternative Name CDK1
Background CDC2 (CDK3) complements cdc28 mutants of Saccharomyces cerevisiae suggesting that it may be involved in cell cycle control. CDK3 can phosphorylate histone H1 and interacts with an unknown type of cyclin.
Alternate names: CDC2, CDC28A, CDK1, CDKN1, Cell division control protein 2 homolog, Cell division protein kinase 1, Cyclin-dependent kinase 1, P34CDC2, p34 protein kinase
Molecular Weight 35046 Da
Gene ID 983
NCBI Accession 9606
UniProt P06493
Application Notes ELISA: 1/1,000. Western Blot: 1/100-1/500. Immunohistochemistry: 1/50-1/100. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
