Specificity: This antibody detects AP-1/c-Jun pSer63. Predicted to cross react with Mouse (100 % Antigen Homology).

Purification: Protein G Affinity Chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylated peptides. The phospho-specific antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.

Immunogen: This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S63 of human cJun.

Background: The gene for cJun is the putative transforming gene of avian sarcoma virus 17. The cJun protein is a transcription factor highly similar to the viral protein, and interacts directly with specific target DNA sequences to regulate gene expression.
