Background
Function: Calcium channel which may play a role in metastasis suppression. May act as a spontaneously active, calcium-permeableplasma membrane channel Tissue specificity: Expressed in eye. Not detected in brain, lung, liver, heart, kidney, spleen or small intestine. Also expressed at highlevels in poorly metastatic variants of B16 melanoma and at much reduced levels in highly metastatic variants of B16 melanoma Sequence similarities: Belongs to the transient receptor family. LTrpC subfamily.
