Clone S124B-38
Description Kir2.2 participates in establishing action potential waveform and excitability of neuronal and muscle tissues. This gene encodes an inwardly rectifying K+ channel which may be blocked by divalent cations. This protein is thought to be one of multiple inwardly rectifying channels which contribute to the cardiac inward rectifier current (IK1). The gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17.
Synonyms: IRK2, KCNJ12, kcnj12x, KCNJN1, Kir2.2v, potassium inwardly rectifying channel subfamily J member 12
Specificity ~45kDa. No cross reactivity against Kir2.1, or Kir2.3. Species cross-reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
Sensitivity 1 µg/mL of SMC-311 was sufficient for detection of Kir2.2 in 30µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
