Additional Information
| Immunogen | Full length recombinant protein Hsp17.7 productd in E.coli and purified by conventional methods (no affinity tag) |
| Format | Antiserum |
| Description | Hsp17.7 belongs to the class II family of small heat shock proteins. Small Hsps are induced when plant cells are stressed by increased temperature (1). How small Hsps protect living cells is not fully understood. They seem to be involved in chaperone functions by protecting other proteins from irreversible denaturation. Small Hsps are also produced late in the seed maturation process. |
| Specificity | Detects 17.7kDa. Species cross-reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana. Other species not yet tested. |
