Description: BTF is a transcriptional repressor that interacts with several members of the BCL2 family ofproteins. Overexpression of this protein induces apoptosis, which can be suppressed byco-expression of BCL2 proteins. BTF localizes to dot-like structures throughout the nucleus,and redistributes to a zone near the nuclear envelope in cells undergoing apoptosis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this protein.

Application Notes: Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 10 µg/ml. Western Blot: 0.5-2.0 µg/ml. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
