Arylsulfatase B (ARSB) belongs to the sulfatase family. The arylsulfatase B homodimer catalyzes hydrolysis of the sulfate groups of N-Acetyl-D-galactosamine, chondriotin sulfate, and dermatan sulfate. Defects in this gene cause Maroteaux-Lamy syndrome.Synonyms: ARSB, ASB, G4S, N-acetylgalactosamine-4-sulfatase
