| Description | Heat shock protein (HSP) molecular chaperones are environmental stressinducible geneproducts. The human HSP 90 family includes 17 genes that fall into four classes: HSP90AA,HSP90AB, HSP90B and TRAP. HSP 90beta, also designated HSP90B, HSP 84 and HSPC2, isa cytosolic protein that participates in signaling pathways with PKC eta to protect cellsfrom external damage, particularly in heat shock-mediated events. GRP 94 (glucoseregulated protein 94 kDa), also known as tumor rejection antigen 1 (TRA1), ECGP and GP96,localizes to the ER, is highly expressed in BGC-823 human gastric carcinoma cells and isupregulated in human endothelial cells in response to hypoxia by HIF-1. |
| Specificity | This antibody detects GRP94 at C-term. Species: Human. Others not tested. Add. Information: Molecular weight: 94kDaCellular localisation: Cytoplasmic |

| Application Notes | Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections (1: 100, 30 min at RT), staining of formalin-fixedtissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followedby cooling at RT for 20 min. Positive control: Breast carcinoma. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. |
