Background
The DOCK1 protein is involved in cytoskeletal rearrangements required for phagocytosis of apoptotic cells and cell motility. It also functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), which activates Rac Rho small GTPases by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP.
