Background: Eukaryotic initiation factor-3 (EIF3) has a molecular mass of about 600 kD and contains 13 nonidentical protein subunits, including EIF3J. EIF3 plays a central role in binding of initiator methionyl-tRNA and mRNA to the 40S ribosomal subunit to form the 40S initiation complex (Fraser et al., 2004 [PubMed 14688252], Fraser et al., 2007 [PubMed 17588516]).[supplied by OMIM]

Western blot analysis of anti-EIF3S1 Pab (ABIN391391) in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). EIF3S1(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab (1:60 dilution).

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma tissue reacted with EIF3S1 antibody (C-term) (ABIN391391), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
