Immunogen This VRK1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 366-396 AA from the Central region of human VRK1.
Clone RB2997
Isotype Ig
Specificity This VRK1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 367~396 amino acids from the center region of human VRK1.
Purification This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Alternative Name VRK1
Background This gene encodes a member of the vaccinia-related kinase (VRK) family of serine/threonine protein kinases. This gene is widely expressed in human tissues and has increased expression in actively dividing cells, such as those in testis, thymus, fetal liver, and carcinomas. Its protein localizes to the nucleus and has been shown to promote the stability and nuclear accumulation of a transcriptionally active p53 molecule and, in vitro, to phosphorylate Thr18 of p53 and reduce p53 ubiquitination. This gene, therefore, may regulate cell proliferation. This protein also phosphorylates histone, casein, and the transcription factors ATF2 (activating transcription factor 2) and c-JUN.

anti-Vaccinia Related Kinase 1 (VRK1) (AA 366-396), (Center) antibody The anti-VRK1 Pab (ABIN391605) is used in Western blot to detect VRK1 in mouse lung tissue lysate (Lane 1) and HL-60 cell lysate (Lane 2).
anti-Vaccinia Related Kinase 1 (VRK1) (AA 366-396), (Center) antibody (2) Western blot analysis of VRK1 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal VRK1 Antibody (E381) (ABIN391605). 293 cell lysates (2 µg/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the VRK1 gene.
