Description
C4. 4A is a structural homolog of the urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR). It was originally identified as a metastasis-associated membrane protein in malignanturothelium. In literature IHC studies, staining has been observed in suprabasalkeratinocytes of chronic wounds and the amniotic membrane of placenta. ISH analysisdemonstrated expression in urothelium of the ureter. C4. 4A expression has also been found to be upregulated in breast tumors when compareto normal breast tissue.
Specificity
This antibody recognizes GPI-anchored Metastasis-associated Protein Homolog (C4. 4A)(LYPD3). Species Reactivity: Tested: Human.

Application Notes
Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 15 µg/ml. This antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigenretrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides wereincubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkalinephosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by apathologist to confirm staining specificity. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
