  • Application Notes
Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 10 μg/mL. This antibody was validated for use in Immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigenretrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides wereincubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by AlkalinePhosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Background
Epithelial Mucins, such as MUC13 are a family of secreted or transmembrane glycoproteins that are expressed mainly in the digestive tract and on epithelial surfaces. MUC13 is upregulated in gastric cancer. Mucins have also been implicated in inflammatory bowel diseasesSynonyms: DRCC1, MUC-13, MUC13, RECC, UNQ6194/PRO20221
