Characteristics
100 ug affinity purified rabbit anti-BMP-7 polyclonal antibody. Detects 16 kDa monomer and 32 kDa dimer of human BMP-7 in Western blot analysis. Reacts with human/mouse/rat. Recombinant human BMP-7 (Cat.# 4579-10) can be used as a positive control.

Description
BMPs (bone morphogenetic proteins) belong to the TGF-β superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins. As implied by their name, BMPs promote and regulate bone development, growth, remodeling and repair, in both prenatal development and postnatal growth of eye, heart, kidney, skin, and other tissues. Human recombinant BMP-7 monomer is a 15.7 kDa non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 139 amino acid residues.

Application Notes
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). Recombinant human BMP-7(Cat.#:4579-10) can be used as a positive control. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
