Additional Information

Characteristics 100 ug rabbit anti-Cytochrome P450 polyclonal antibody. Detects cytochrome P450 from samples of human/mouse/rat/dog origins. Detects 58 kDa band in Western blotting. Other applications have not been determined. Blocking peptide (Cat.# 3084RBP-50) is available separately.
Alternative name Cytochrome P450
Gene ID 1571
Immunogen Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 405 of human Cytochrome p450
Isotype IgG  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Description Cytochrome P450 is mainly found in liver, and can metabolize a wide range of compounds such as organic solvents, acetaminophen, dimethylnitrosoamine and aliphatic alcohol, which have certain toxicological effects in humans. Ethanol-induced cytochrome P450 IIE1 is considered to be one of the major causes of oxidative stress in the liver following ethanol treatment.
Specificity The antibody detects ~58kDa cytochrome P450 IIE1 from samples of human, mouse, rat and dog origins.
