Description: Dectin-1also known as beta-glucan receptor is a small type II transmembrane receptor containing lectin-like carbohydrate recognition domain. Dectin-1 plays a role in beta-glucan dependant, nonopsonic recognition of zymosan by primary macropahge. Dectin-1 is expressed on macrophages and neutrophils and on some dendritic cells subpopulation.

Application Details

Application Notes: Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes 28 kDa of Dectin-1 from samples of human origins. A ~16 kDa monomeric form and a 43 kDa glycoprotein can also be detected. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
