Characteristics
100 ug affinity purified rabbit anti-FoxH1 (also called Forkhead box H1, Forkhead box protein H1, Forkhead activin Signal Transducer 2, FAST-1, FAST1, etc.) polyclonal antibody. Reacts with hu/ms/rat. Detects ~50 kDa FoxH1 in Western blot analysis. Other applications have not been determined. Blocking peptide (Cat.# 3892BP-50) is available separately.

Description
FoxH1 (also known as Forkhead box H1 or FAST-1) is a transcription factor that shares close homology with Xenopus FAST-1. FoxH1 binds to SMAD2/4 and activates activin response through a DNA binding motif region that consist of TGT(G/T)(T/G)ATT sequence. FoxH1 binding to Smad2/Smad4/FAST1 forms a transcriptionally complex structure that can induced TGFβ signal transduction.
Specificity
The antibody recognizes ~44kDa of FoxH1 from samples of human, mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
Application Notes
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~44kDa of FoxH1 from samples of human, mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.
