| Description | Influenza A viruses are surface glycoprotein, single stranded, segmented RNA viruses that are found in birds. Influenza A subtypes are based on the virus glycoproteins hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA). There are 16 different HA antigens and nine different N antigens for influenza A virus that have been isolated from wild birds. |
