Background
Glypican 4 belongs to the glypican family of heparin sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) that are anchored to cell membranes by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage. Glypicans may play a role in the control of cell division and growth regulation. Glypican 4 has been shown to be a receptor for endostatin a known potent antiangiogenic protein.Synonyms: Glypican 4, K-glypican
