Immunogen Recombinant Cdk6 protein. Remarks: Hybridoma was established by fusion of mouse myeloma cell NS-2 with Balb/c mouse splenocyte.
Clone DCS-83
Isotype IgG1
Specificity This antibody reacts with Cdk6. Species Reactivity: Tested: Human, Mouse and Rat.
Purification Protein-A Sepharose Chromatography.
Alternative Name CDK6
Background Cdk6 (Cyclin-dependent kinase-6) is a 38-40 kDa member of the Cdk family of mitotic kinases involved in cell cycle progression. The Cdk6 phosphoprotein, like Cdk4, associates with D-cyclins to regulate cell proliferation. Following translocation to the nucleus, the Cdk6 is phosphorylated by CAK, and the Cdk6 complex, in association with PCNA, phosphorylates the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein. Overexpression of Cdk6 has been associated with several different types of cancer.
Alternate names: Cell division protein kinase 6, PLSTIRE, Serine/threonine-protein kinase PLSTIRE
