Additional Information
| Alternative name | c-Jun |
| Gene ID | 3725 |
| UniProt | P05412 |
| Description | Other names: JUN, Transcription factor AP-1, Proto-oncogene c-jun,V-jun avian sarcoma virus 17 oncogene homolog,p39 |
| Characteristics | Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody |
| Specificity | A synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal residues of human c-Jun was used as immunogen. |
| Molecular Weight | 43 kDA |
| Comments |
Background: c-Jun is a component of the transcription factor AP-1 (1). The transcriptional activity of c-Jun is regulated by phosphorylation at serines 63 and 73 (1,2). Extracellular signals, including growth factors, transforming oncoproteins and UV light, stimulate phosphorylation of c-Jun at Ser63/73 and activate c-Jun-dependent transcription (3,4). |
