Specificity A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues of human Mcl-1 was used as immunogen. The antibody does not cross-react with other Bcl-2 family members.
Alternative Name Mcl-1
Background Mcl-1 is an anti-apoptotic member of Bcl-2 family originally isolated from the ML-1 human myeloid leukemia cell line during phorbol ester-induced differentiation along the monocyte/macrophage pathway (1). Mcl-1 localizes to the mitochondria (2), interacts with and antagonizes pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members (3), and inhibits apoptosis by a number of cytotoxic stimuli (4).
Synonyms: MCL1, BCL2L3, Induced myeloid leukemia cell differentiation protein Mcl-1, Bcl-2-related protein EAT/mcl1,mcl1/EAT,Bcl-2-like protein 3
Molecular Weight 40 kDA
Gene ID 4170
UniProt Q07820
Research Area Ubiquitin-related antibodies, Apoptosis/Necrosis, Phospho-specific antibodies, Protein Modifications, Cell Structure, Cell Cycle
Application Notes The suggested dilution is: WB: = 1:1000-10000 ,IHC: = 1:50
