Background: SCYL1 is a protein that regulates COPI-mediated retrograde traffic. Has no detectable kinase activity in vitro. Isoform 6 acts as transcriptional activator. It binds to three different types of GC-rich DNA binding sites (box-A, -B and -C) in the beta-polymerase promoter region. It also binds to the TERT promoter region.

Western blot analysis of SCYL1 Antibody (ABIN652300) in HepG2 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). SCYL1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human testis tissue reacted with SCYL1 Antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
