Background: The function of RASSF4 has not yet been determined but it may involve a role in tumor suppression. RASSF4 may act as a KRAS effector protein and may promote apoptosis and cell cycle arrest. Alternative splicing of this gene results in several transcript variants, however, most of the variants have not been fully described.
