Isotype Ig
Description Other names: TATA-binding protein-associated factor 172,BTAF1,TAF172
Characteristics Peptide Affinity Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Pab)
Specificity This BTAF1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1823-1852 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human BTAF1.
Molecular Weight 206887 DA
Comments

Background: Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase II requires the assistance of TATA box-binding protein (TBP, MIM 600075) and TBP-associated factors, or TAFs (e.g., TAF2B, MIM 604912), in 2 distinct complexes, TFIID and B-TFIID. The TFIID complex is composed of TBP and more than 8 TAFs. However, the majority of TBP is present in the B-TFIID complex, which is composed of TBP and TAFII170, also called TAF172, and has DNA-dependent ATPase activity.

Application Details

Application Notes The suggested dilution is: ELISA ~~ 1:1,000 Western blotting~~ 1:100~500 Immunohistochemistry~~ 1:50~100 Flow cytometry ~~ 1:10~50
Concentration 0.25 mg/ml
Purification Purified
Buffer Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 deg C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 deg C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles
